Porcelain hardneck variety. Introduced to British Columbia from Romania, AKA “Red Elephant Garlic”. A high yielding Porcelain garlic and it is recorded to yield the greatest amount of allicin, at 7.7 mg. The high content of allicin, gives Porcelains a hot, sulfurous flavor. Allicin helps increase circulation and boosts the immune system. The bulb skins are light tan to salmon pink in color, with giant cloves. Good storage quality for a Porcelain. (This image is actually Georgia Fire, but they are both Porcelains and look almost identical. We will have a new image after our July 2015 harvest. Thanks!) 4 to 6 cloves per bulb. 25 to 30 cloves per pound. Late harvest. Stores 6 months. Zones 1 to 7. Produces scapes. Hot.
