Chaise Red – Purple Stripe Hardneck Variety

Chaise Red Purple Stripe hardneck variety. The Purple Stripe horticultural group has been awarded the “best baked garlic” by Martha Stewart, Sunset Magazine and Rodale Press. Purple Stripes maintain their flavor after cooking and are consistent producers.

Chaise Red Garlic Characteristics
10 – 12 cloves per bulb. 50 – 60 cloves per pound. Late harvest. Stores 5 – 6 months. Small bulbs store the longest. [Hot] Recommended for Zones 1-9.

Kisklyk – Purple Stripe Hardneck Variety

Purple Stripe hardneck variety. Originated near Kisklyk, in the southern region of Uzbekistan. Kisklyk has very tight bulb skins therefore they have a very long shelf life for a hardneck. A complex flavor with large bulbs and the classic purple and white striped bulb skin.

Kisklyk Garlic Characteristics
