Lavignia – Marbled Purple Stripe hardneck variety. Determined to be the hottest and spiciest by Houseboat Eats. Also described as savory after roasting. If you like hot and spicy garlic Lavignia is for you! As with all the Purple Stripes, Lavignia is characterized by pin stripes of burgundy on creamy white skin.
Lavignia Garlic characteristics: 10 to 12 cloves per bulb. 50 to 60 cloves per pound. Late harvest. Stores 5 to 6 months. Zones 1 to 9. Produces scapes. Hot.
