Red Janice – Turban hardneck variety. Originated from Nmarazeni in the Republic of Georgia. Here in the Northwest, Red Janice is consistently one of the first plants to show up in the garden in mid-February. Red Janice has notably the darkest burgundy and purple pinstripes on creamy white skin than any other Turban. They are highly adaptable, and can adjust to mild southern climates or cold northern climates.
Red Janice garlic characteristics: 5 – 9 cloves per bulb. 60 – 65 cloves per pound. Early harvest. Stores 5 months. Hot.
