Creole Hardneck Variety
Creole hardneck variety. Originally from California. Creoles are a Silverskin sub-variety, but their flavor is much more palatable. The Creoles are the longest storing varieties of all the hardnecks. The flavor is hearty and smooth making it palatable to eat raw. Typical of all Creoles, Creole Red has tan outer bulb skin, with crimson colored clove skins.
Creole Red Characteristics
8-12 cloves per bulb. 42-50 cloves per pound. Mid harvest. Stores 6 – 7 months. [Medium] Recommended for Zones 5-10.
