Montana Zemo– Porcelain hardneck variety.  Originated from the village of Zemo Surebi in the Supsa valley boarding the Adzaro-Imeretinian Mountains, Cochatauri Province, in the Republic of Georgia. Zemo can handle cold winter climates. During a taste test of 8 different garlic varieties, Zemo was chosen as one of the panels’ favorite by America’s Test Kitchen from Cook’s Illustrated magazine. Creamy white teardrop shaped bulbs, spicy garlic flavor and high allicin content.

Zemo Garlic Characteristics:  4 to 6 cloves per bulb. 25 to 30 cloves per pound. Late harvest. Stores 6 months. Zones 1 to 7. Produces scapes. Hot.

Chesnok Red- Purple Stripe Hardneck Variety – Purple Stripe hardneck variety. Originated from Shvelisi, Achakiche Province, in the southern region of the Republic of Georgia, AKA “Shvelisi”. According to one of our nice customers, the word “Chesnok” means garlic in Russian. The Purple Stripe horticultural group has been awarded the “best baked garlic” by Martha Stewart, Sunset Magazine and Rodale Press. Chesnok Red truly maintains its flavor after cooking and is a consistent producer. A superior varietal that should be in all garlic lovers’ gardens.

Chesnok Red Garlic Characteristics: 10 – 12 cloves per bulb. 50 – 60 cloves per pound. Late harvest. Stores 5 – 6 months. Small bulbs store the longest. [Hot] Recommended for Zones 1-9. Medium sized cloves.

Inchelium Red – Artichoke Softneck Variety.  Originated south of the Canadian border: along the banks of the Columbia River, on the Colville Indian Reservation in the town of Inchelium, Washington. Its medium bodied flavor rated very high in the Rodale Kitchen taste test in 1990. It is highly adaptable to cold winter climates and well as warm southern climates. A great producer with consistent yields of large bulbs that are dappled with red and burgundy hues.

Inchelium Red Garlic Characteristics: 8-10 cloves per bulb. 65-75 cloves per pound. Early harvest. Stores 5-6 months. Recommended for Zones 3-10. Mild to medium.

Silver White – Silverskin softneck variety. Silverskins can grow in varied climates: from maritime, cool wet winters to arid, hot dry winters. In storage, they can handle more humidity than other softnecks, making them some of the longest storing garlic of all. The bulb skins are white with hints of pink and the flavor is spicy.
Silver White Garlic characteristics: 9-10 cloves per bulb • 60 to 75 cloves per pound • Mid to late harvest. Stores 8 to 10 months! • Zones 4 to 10 • Does not produce scapes • Hot
